File Preparation

MASTERING

Exporting your files:

-Make sure there is nothing on the master channel.

(If you have mixed into a pre master chain, leave it, disable the maximizers/limiters!)

-Stereo Files

-Low levels and dynamic.

-Make sure the song does not clip or hit 0 dBFS. Preferably the loudest peaks of your mix, between -3dB and -6dB on the master meter. 

-Make sure "normalise" is disabled while exporting.

-Turn off dithering if it is on.

-Export format should be WAV (or AIFF) 44.1k (or 48k) 24 Bit (No up or down conversion should happen, if the final mix file’s resolution is 24bit/44.1kHz, then you should create a file for mastering with the same resolution).

-Avoid using the following formats for mastering:

 mp3, wma, m4a, aac

-Please listen to the full tracks from start to finish after rendering them. Do not forget to attach the BPM and Key of the project. Also labeling your uploads with your name or the e-mail you provided, will help the speed of the process.

MIXING (STEM MASTERING)

-Please clearly name the stems with song title and which instrument group it contains (tags). For example Sound FXs, Drums and percussions, Bass Instruments/Synths.

-All the stems should start at the same point even if a group of instruments has silence at the beginning of the song. That is important to make sure the stems are synched together.

-Solo one instrument at a time and export individually (make sure all automations recorded). If sidechaning applied in your song leave it on.

-The more stems you are able to provide, the more flexibility we have to mix and process each individual sound or group, which will improve the potential outcome.

-Check all all of your elements are in the stems, nothing missing before submitting.

Make sure everything is properly named and labeled!
